About Open for Lunch
Making everyday, in-person connection a little easier.
What is Open for Lunch?
Open for Lunch is an experiment in making everyday, in-person connection a little easier.
It gives people a simple way to make their availability visible, open a seat, and create more opportunities for real-life conversation and community.
You choose when you’re available, who you share your invitation with, and whether you want to participate in the wider Open for Lunch community.
Safety + personal responsibility
Choose your own adventure, with care.
Open for Lunch helps make invitations visible. You decide who to meet, where to meet, and what feels appropriate. We do not screen participants or guarantee anyone’s identity or behavior.
By participating, you accept responsibility for your own decisions, interactions, and personal safety. Open for Lunch is not responsible for misconduct, harassment, abuse, violence, loss, injury, or other harm arising from a meeting or interaction.
Use good judgment. Meet in public places when appropriate. Share plans with someone you trust. Leave any situation that does not feel right.
